Ron Gubitz
Executive Director
Ron Gubitz has spent his career proving that creativity isn't just nice to have—it's the engine that drives real change. Whether he's in a classroom in St. Louis, collaborating with Yo-Yo Ma at the Kennedy Center, or testifying before California legislators about fair ticketing practices, Ron brings an infectious belief that music and community can transform lives.
With over two decades of experience bridging education, technology, and advocacy, Ron has first-hand expertise in transforming systems from the ground up. From co-founding Hip Hop Congress in 1999 to turning around one of Louisiana's lowest-performing schools through arts integration, Ron developed a passion for empowering creators and building sustainable communities.
Today, as Executive Director of the Music Artists Coalition (MAC), Ron plays a crucial role in protecting music creators' rights to fair compensation and ownership. The result is strategic advocacy that ensures artists have the support and representation they deserve in an industry that too often sidelines their voices. His unique trajectory as an industry outsider brings fresh perspective to MAC's mission of championing sustainable careers for those making the music that transforms lives.
